Below a list of all recent EZ-MES extensions.
- Extension on Unique ID syntax
27 May 2009: Any name value data stored on a Part Record, or any Product specification
stored on the connected Part Definitions, can be used to automatically generate new
Unique Identifiers. For example it possible to generate Serial numbers like: W0001-P01-D01
where the Serial Number of the Parent part is inherited by the child parts adding
an new sequencer. This is usefull if you dice parts into smaller parts, but still
would like to from the Unique ID what the parent part was.
- Now EZ-MES can be used on Servers in Europe
26 May 2009: The pre-configured servers with EZ-MES (in case you would like us to
do the hosting) are now available on the Amazon cloud in Europe as well. If you
want to test it out, request our
Free 30 Day Trial.
- Configurable Nomenclature
22 May 2009: What one company calls a Traveler an other Company can call a Flow.
There are many different sets of nomenclature used in different industries. So after
many request it is now possible to rename strings used in the user-interface. So
let us know which nomeclature you use, and we can make the adjustments. Using this
technique it is even possible translate the user-interface into different languages.
- Auto logout for double sessions
21 May 2009: To prevent that user are logged in twice the application will log out
the other application if you start using EZ-MES on another computer.
- Clone function for NV's
Complex data entries can now be cloned. The clone can than be connected to any other
Step Definition.
- SOAP Interface
20 May 2009: Provided you have the proper access rights, any information can be
queried from the webserver using SOAP requests. Different return formats are supported:
XLS, CSV, and JSON Strings. This opens up EZ-MES to be accessed by any other application
that can handle
Simple Object Access Protocol, aka SOAP..

- Product Specific Receive - Inspection Flows
15 May 2009: It is now possible to add predefined inspection flows to incoming material.
This means that when parts are added to inventory or when parts are received on
a Purchase Order, the parts will automatically move onto a Traveler with the flow
that is defined on the Part Definition. If no flow is defined the parts will move
into inventory.

- Automatic creation of Travelers based on Work Orders
14 May 2009: At the moment a Work Order will move to the active state, EZ-MES will
automatically generate the Travelers needed to create the requested products. The
travelers will be in the pending state and can be dispatched by moving them to the
active state.
- Context Sensitive Help on Forms
14 May 2009: The help option on the forms (the question mark button next to the
minimize button) will now take into account the active tab of the form, opening
up a web page with specific help for the current form and active tab.
- Flexible Quantity and Unit Conversions
13 May 2009: When you are using different Part Definitions with different Units
for the same type of material, it is now possible for the Flow Definitions and derived
Travelers automatically do the unit conversion by using specific IO combinations.
Also when a product is repackaged into units with smaller quantities, this is configured
by adding a maximum part quantity on the Part Definition, which automatically will
break up non discrete parts if needed.
- Category management for Part Definitions
12 May 2009: The categories for part definitions can now be managed on the systems
tab. Using this new feature, custom product families can be defined.
- Configurable File Attachments on Travelers
09 May 2009: The different types of configurable data entries are now extended with
an attach file option. This data entry will allow the user to create an EZ-MES file
record object, where one or multiple files can be attached. This data entry can
be made required, only allowing the Traveler to move to the next step when at least
a single file is attached.
- Instant Graphs for entered data
04 May 2009: In certain conditions it is useful to have historic trend charts or
histograms of data appear on the traveler. This can now be configured on any NV Value.

- Sub-sequencer option for parts and Serial Numbers
29 April 2009: Part Records on a traveler can be automatically sequenced creating
a new NV Value. This sequence can be used in the Unique ID Generation. E.g., it
is now possible to automatically create Serial Numbers like: SN001-01, SN001-02,
SN001-03,... on the first traveler and SN002-01, SN002-02, SN002-03... on the second
traveler, and so on.
- Replace Part Flow for Assemblies
28 April 2009: Using the disassemble button on the Part Record will enable you to
remove any part from an assembly and move this part on any other traveler, e.g.
for MRB. If the part continues through a step that assembles the part, it will be
automatically detected the part is missing, and it will only continue when a new
part is consumed.
- Automatic Lot Serial Number Generator
28 April 2009: This extension works similar as the Unique ID Generator for Part Records only now for the
NV Value of the Lot Type.
