Correcting a wrongly assigned Unique ID

If you already assigned a Unique ID to a Part Record, or an Equipment ID to an Equipment Record, and you want to correct the value, take the following steps:

1. Create a new Flow Definition that will assign an Unique ID. By doing this you create a flow that will overwrite the existing Unique ID on the Part Record or Equipment Record. The EZ-MES system will keep a record of the old value.

   The Flow Definition can be simple:

   • Create a single Step Definition with the Name: 'Correct Unique ID'.
   • On this Step Definition define a Name-Value Pair of the Unique ID Type.
2. Use this newly defined Flow Definition to create new Flow Record.
3. Start the Flow Record and attach the Part Record or the Equipment Records.
4. Change the Serial Number or the Equipment ID on the Configurable Data Entry Section of the Configurable Data Entry Section.
5. Close out the Flow Record by signing of the step.
