EZ-MES MES System: Data Collection

Unique ID's (Serial Number / Batch Number etc.)

Unique ID's are special Name-Value Pairs that take care that the value for it stays unique in the EZ-MES System. E.g. once a Serial Number for a Part Record is generated it is impossible to create another Part Record with the same Serial Number.

Step Definitions can be configured to assign Unique ID's to Part Records on a Travelers. (E.g. Serial Numbers for Discrete Parts and Lot Numbers for Non-Discrete Parts.)

AKA: Unique ID's are also known as UID's, Serial Numbers, SN, Lot Numbers, Batch Numbers etc.

NOTE: Unique ID's for the Lot Object are created by the Lot Name-Value Pair and not this UID Name-Value Pair. The Lot Object is used to group mulitple Part Records, e.g. a Wafer Lot.
