How to use Revision Controlled Documents in EZ-MES

Controlled Documents are EZ-MES objects that can contain one or more uploaded files. The Controlled Documents can be connected to one or more other EZ-MES objects. The difference between Documents and Records is that Documents are revision controlled.

Document Types

A controlled document has a Document Type attribute with the following possible values:

• General: E.g. Specifications, Work Instructions etc.
• Label
• Email template

Data Structure for Documents

The following Structure shows how a Document is connected to 2 different Step Definitions.

Document Listbox

The Document Listbox can be found on the Configuration Desktop.

Operator Instructions

The Controlled Documents that are attached to a Step Definition will show up on the Instructions tab of the Traveler.
