How to disassemble a Part
It can happen that parts that are consumed by an other part have to be replaced.
The general approach to do this:
- Create a new Flow Defintion, call it for instance: Repair Flow
- Make a disassemble step and an assemble step, the assemble step can be the same
step that was used to assemble the part.
- Now you can start disassembling a Part Record by Creating a new Traveler and by
Picking the Part you want to disassemble.
- In the disassemble step you open the attached part record by selecting it from the
parts tab on the Traveler Form
- On the Part Record form you select the Children tab
- You open the consumed Child Part Record that you would like to remove from the assembly
- You reposition the part by pressing the reposition button. You could for instance
reposition the part to a hold flow
- You move the repair traveler to the next assembly step
- You consume the new part, like you would consume the part normally
- Sign off the Assembly step, and now you're done.
